Welcome to E.V. Cain, home of the Wildcats! It is my honor and privilege to serve as the principal of E.V. Cain STEM Charter Middle School. We are a 6th-8th Grade STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) school focused on providing an academically rigorous and engaging learning environment in a supportive school environment. All students receive a STEM-based instructional program through classroom lessons and projects as well as through a variety of enrichment opportunities. Students have wide access to technology which is integrated throughout their educational program. While STEM is the foundation of our program, a variety of programs including Specialized ELD and GATE/Rapid Learner opportunities further promote our commitment to preparing our students for college and career readiness.
E.V. Cain is a school with an honored tradition, where strong connections are made between the home and the school. We value our parent and community partnerships and we encourage our extended school community to get involved on our campus. I strive to work in collaboration with each of you to promote programs that support the whole child. I feel truly fortunate to be a member of such an amazing school community! GO WILDCATS!
The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is an opportunity for parents, staff and community to provide input in shaping the vision for our children's education. If you are a parent/guardian in the Auburn Union School District, please share your ideas on what's working well and opportunities for growth. Your participation is appreciated!
There are two ways for parents/guardians to participate in the LCAP process:
Auburn Union serves the foothill community of Auburn, located 40 miles northeast of Sacramento on the western slope of the California High Sierra. AUSD educates approximately 2100 students in preschool through eighth grade at four elementary schools- Alta Vista Community Charter, Auburn Elementary, Rock Creek and Skyridge, and one middle school- E.V. Cain STEM Charter Middle School.
